Beverly's Nest
18” x 36” - Oil on Ampersand - 2009
I stole the idea for this from a photo taken in Africa by my friend Beverly Tuttle, of a nest she saw floating in a river. She called it “faith, hope, and charity”. Faith that the river won't rise, hope that the crocs won't get you, and the charity to always have room in your nest for a stranger. Of course, I stole it; its the perfect inspiration for the scariness of this year.
