East Gate

33" x 27"

Oil on canvas, wood, and styrafoam

2004

The east gate is the one you entered at the Temple of Solomon. The starry blue sky, black and white floor, and the pillars of Joachin and Boaz are still used today by the Freemasons. However, it is much older, originating in Egypt, where they also worshipped female goddesses. So my gate has the tree of knowledge with a woman standing behind it.
