Friends keep dying, so I wanted to paint a symbolic painting of my belief in our continuity. The tree is the symbol of the human race and the "as above, as below" philosophy; the gate is the portal and has the crosses of continuous motion in it; and the white roads, if continued, make the horizontal figure 8, the symbol of infinity.
