Lost, But Found
30" x 40" - Oil on canvas - 2007
The way I handle major negatives in my life is to paint my way out. In this case I could not do something I wanted to really do, and it hurt. The cave carries the symbolism of being representative of the human heart. The "hole" is a very specific symbol of the gateway, the opening of one world to another. This is my way of saying don't let set backs result in loss - keep the dream.
