Onion

They use the onion in grief counseling. The theory is that the peeling of layers represents the stages we go through. However, I feel this applies to our coping with any major event. Additionally, I think it an excellent advisory on how to look at everything period. "Don't judge a book by it's cover" sort of thing. This is the only painting I've done in which I wrapped canvas around a canvas on stretcher bars to further my point.
